Dr. Zhivago (Galen) did.

The thread is gone... It was removed a few months ago at Galen's request.

The SMT line of piggyback computers from Perfect Power. It's a box that will let you have programmable control over your timing and fuel delivery. Much like the FTC-1 from Split Second.

The thread was HUGE - ungainly even. At the end it was over 60 pages long if I remember right.

Why would he have asked to have that thread removed?
Sounds like it was pretty informative.

Sorry Jamie, it's not for me to comment on.

I've offered up to start a new SMT thread a couple of times, but they tend to fizzle out in a day or two.

The biggest issue with the old thread was that it was so dern big. It went from a simple product introduction to speculation to "too many cooks in the kitchen" to installation woes to frustration with people not having read through the 1st 30 pages to setup tweaks to power issues to to to...

I'm happy to try to start a new thread again... I love mine, and there are other folks here that are pretty happy as well. Where do you wanna begin?

I was just curious, not really that important why the thread went away.

Maybe a new thread with just the basics.....

1) What to get
2) How to set it up
3) How to tune it properly (will vary with the user, but what has worked for you)

I can do that!

It'll take some time, but lemme get a fresh Diet Coke and I'll get into babble mode.

Cool

I asked the same question month or few back. The old one was over 70 pages long, and I view by 40 posts per page, not 10!

The reason it was deleted was because there was "arguing" in the post between people troubleshooting at various points.

I think it was very ignorant to delete the post personally...
The arguing was very mild.
It wasn't too "ungainly" to find information either, like some people would have you believe.

THAT IS WHAT THE
Search this thead
feature is for!!!

And it really was dumb when noone I could find saved a copy of the thing before it was deleted. :pat:

Ummm... no, that's not true.

But, again, I started a new thread that folks are welcome to pop into and babble and comment. I started it out with a basic overview of the concept and a couple of Q&A vollies have come since.

I'll be writing more in general, but until then, please... Babble on!
