well i went and got some more zaino z5 polish and i picked up the clay. zaino only gives you 2 2oz pieces for $16.95. griots gives you 8oz for 19.95. i was told to only use half a bar at a time. so thats a 1 oz piece. thats nuts, it will take me six months to do the hole car.
ill see what i decide to do when the time comes. got some new zaino tire gloss cant wait to use it.

As a wax-aholic I will add my process to this list. I start with a good wash and dry with a large microfiber towel. I then follow up with some Meguiars Final Detail (comercial grade - quick detail and final finish combined - no streaking like the quick detail) to remove the remaining residues. Then I use the Final Detail with a Clay Bar to make the surface completely smooth. About twice a year my next step is to go over it with Meguiars Hand Polish, which removes any fine scratches or oxidation on older cars. I then finish with a coat of Zymol (I wax once a month). I know, some may bash Zymol but I have had great luck with it and I lean towards it because it is not petrolium based (none of the products I use are). All of my wax polishing is done with microfibers as well. All of my products except for the Zymol I obtain from a local Meguiars commercail distributor (most come in large quantities - polishes in quarts and detailers in gallons). I happened to run into the guy in my area (Phoenix) at a local classic car show, which is always a good place to find them (they also give discounts there as well, which makes for an even better deal).
One comment on microfibers is DO NOT PUT THEM IN YOUR DRYER. They will get too hot and burn the material, making it scratchy. I have heard this from several sources, including a Meguairs rep that was giving demos at Barrett Jackson this year.
