2003 4runner Squeeking belts solution
2003 V6 4runner Squeeking belts solution
Toyota techs fixed my problem with the belt. Truck purrs now yahooo. They shimmed the pulley. . They said that they have applied this fix to a few vehicles in So. California also and it has been working.
Plus they want me to call them in a month and let then know if it’s working because if this work they are going to redesign a new pulley.

The Toyota techs were the ones that fixed the problem, not the auto mechanic at the Toyota dealer. The Toyota techs came down to California for a day to fix the problem. What you have to do is talk to the auto service manager at your Toyota dealer and have him call the Toyota tech at Toyota. Tell him that the Toyota techs did was SHIMMED THE TENSION PULLEYs to bring them into alignment with the other pulleys. From what I gather the TENSION PULLEYs are not into alignment with the other pulleys on some or all of the V6 engines. They said that they have applied this fix to a few vehicles in So. California also and it has been working.
Good Luck & Keep us updated
