Alright guys, I have to sell my 4runner. I commute 100 miles total a day to school, and I just can't afford the gas anymore. I figured this would be the best place to see what I could get for my ride. I have a 2000 4runner, SR5, 4x4. Black. 121,xxx miles. I put in a Kenwood MP3 player, as well as KYBs monomax shocks with the 99 springs. I also purchased the 5 spoke, and had them powder coated metallic silver. I've owned it for a year and have absolutely zero problems with it. New brakes, and oil changed every 4k, full synthetic. The back bumper has some rust, but I have a brand new replacement, just haven't had the time to put it on yet. Tires are in great shape and have about 10k on them. I was hoping to get $9.5k. What do you all think?

I think you could get that. I would put it up for sale on autotrader.com.

 

Will really depend on the market for your area. Check KBB.com and fill in the selections. Most of your after market items are really subjective as dealerships don't really take any of that stuff into account as its not factory. So you do get a bit to play with when you do have those items but market will not totally reflect those add ons. In our area here in the Northwest, just plugging in what you said and looking at your avitar, the private seller price for here in Western Washington which is high for trucks to start with is Excellent $10,065, Good $9265 and Fair $8220 so your oprice is somewhere in that range. Your asking price is in line with Excellent, no body dings or dents, no reconditioning the interior, no repairs, perfect paint, no rust, no accident history etc. Good luck

It's just subjective. I was trying to sell my 98 5 speed with 150k on it and the only offer I got was $6500. I had a lot of people come and look at it when I was asking $8,000 but no takers. I would have sold it for less but no offers.

Also, would I be better off putting the running boards back on for the sale of the vehicle? I didn't know if having them off should affect the price of the vehicle or not.

 

I would ask the person who's interested in it whether or not they'd want them put back on. But dont go and put 'em back on.

 

definetly subjective. They go for at least 10k here in WA.
