Well after trying to decide on my next mod I decided to go with Wet Okoles. My question is is there anyone on here that has them with a 2nd Gen and the standard grey Toyota interior? I cannot decide what color to make the panels. Look here to help me out. It's either #21 or #11. The pic of the Tacoma matches pretty well but not sure which one it is. Also they have a whole slew of graphics to choose from to get sewed on. Anyhow any inputs on the color would be great!
Thanks
Joey

Joey: I am in the process of ordering the Wet Okoles for my '91 Runner. My interior is the same color as yours......lighter grey tweed fabric and darker grey vinyl window sills, door handles, etc. For our interiors, I agree that Numbers 11 & 21 from the color pallet are the two colors that would best fit our color application. One is dark (#11) and the other is light grey (#21). Doulble-Click on the Tacoma picture and they show several other options: The #21 inner panel and the #11 outer panels, Both Inner & Outer panels #11, and finally the outer #11 and the inner being #17.... yuck
) I prefer the #11 outer and #21 inner panel. It is a nice balance of the light to dark grey hues like our interiors. Notice that both greys #11 and #21 do not match the Toyota greys exactly. In the Tacoma pic, the #11 is a little different than the Tacoma's armrest/console. I also prefer the #21 inner/#11 outer because I have a light haired dog, whose hairs shed and show up on darker fabrics. I find it funny that when I take a date out in my 4-Runner, if the girl is wearing dark colored clothes, their a$$es end up looking like a fur ball
Thus, the option of both panels being #11 would not be good in my application.
Those are my thoughts.

Joey, I think black for the outer color, then the dark gray for the inserts.
The dark gray in case the lighter one ends up fading a bit over the years.
On my seat here I have the SR5 insignia.
I see on Oke's site you can get it with 4Runner added to it also.
That would look cool, but if you end up getting an '89 to '95 truck in the future, the 4Runner would look funny, but the covers would still fit if you had the buckets, and not the 60/40 seat.
Oh, if I was going to just now order the seat covers, I'd get "YotaTech" for the graphics

Can't really help with the color choice as I'm not familiar with second gen interiors. As for the logo... I like them... adds a bit of flare to them, a cool look (IMO). I got the TRD off-road logo on mine.

Hey Corey! Are your seats in your Runner the sport-type, with the adjustable lumbar supports? Mine in my '91 SR5 4-Runner are not......mine do not have the small knob adjustment on the side. Mine are not as confining and have smaller headrests than the 'sport-type'. The bottom part of mine are flatter and the backrest portion is wider and does not have as aggressive of side bolsters. Yours look very similar to mine. I want to make sure I order the right ones so that my seat covers fit. Yours are black outer and blue inner? Also, I have my stereo amps under my seats, are there any straps from the covers that I need to be concerned about heating up?

Hi David, no I don't have the lumbar knobs.
I guess the guy who ordered it did not get them, the factory roof rack, rear seat heater, or the moon roof.
I have everything else though from the SR5 package.
I think your sets are identical to mine then.
Yes, my seats are black/blue.
I think the blue is # 24 on their site.
It almost looks purple in the rig, but it's not.
Look for my write-up in the Tech section here at YotaTech, and you can see how the covers hook on the bottoms of the seats.
The straps may or may not hang to low for your amps.
Also, I have not got around to it yet, but I have my side bolsters covered with the seat cover.
It actually should be tucked behind exposing the plastic.
I just have not felt like yanking out both seats again to do that.

Went ahead and ordered my covers as well as the care products. Spendy but sure they will be worth it. Corey I went with the darker #11 and a Toyota graphic.

Thanks Corey. It sounds like I just need to order the covers for the 4-Runner and hope that they fits my seats.....on the Oke site, I don't see anything distinguishing betwen our types of seats and the sport-type. I think I'll go with your advice and go with the Black #12 outer panels and the #21 Inner Panel. I'll check out the Tech write up and see how the straps work. Thanks again.

David, when you call up Okole, they will drill you for many minutes concerning your seats.
They will ask if there are lumbar knobs, ect.
You could also have them look up my account and tell them the seats are the same style as mine.

Color Swatches
If you get on their web site, you can choose up to three color samples. They will send them to you in about 10 days. These are made to order products and probably not returnable. Better safe than sorry. I've got the blue interior and I think I'm going with black and #24 Dark Blue. The sample I got is really dark blue - looks darker than your pics Corey. I wonder if it is the same??

Joey: What did your Okole's cost for your Front Seats?
I realized that Performance Products has a 20% Sale going on and I was going to order throught them if the price was right. (PP cataloge shows US$259 for the Fronts.....I just need to call them and make sure the Okole's are eligible )

David the covers from wetokole themselves are $225 for the fronts with no graphics. If you get a graphic add 39.95 to that price. I got 10% off for being military, thanks wet okole! Here's their site
