Repaint it the same colour, remove the factory stripe, and paint the valence burgandy red also

I dont have the bugflector anymore though. It cracked down the middle due to the extreme weather changes a few months ago

I took it off and it looks better without it now. i considered replacing it before but it grew on me

In my opinion, Yes.. A repair / buff out would be the way to go.. Here is why.. You can very paint the nose with out porblems (just make dang sure that they remove all the trim off the door, (handle, run channel, belt mldg, mirror) and I would have them also blend the RT fender.. I say this because they can make sure all the sand pits get sanded off the leading edge of the hood this way, and the color match will not end at the front edge of the hood.

Reason 2, It is a PITA to do it properly.. You HAVE to remove the quarter glass (which is hard to re-seal, trust me) and there is a lot of trim to R&I.. You will also have to buy all new emblems for the rear.

I personaly love the red prl. and it does shine nice when freshly waxed..

All this talk about this burgundy red is getting me thinking. I'm due for a paint job on my code 3D7 red 89 eventually, I could get away with painting it this red pearl, wouldn't stand out too much with the jambs etc.
What's your paint code there burgundy people?

I think Im gonna go with that color too! I dont think it would
be a huge stretch from the redish brown my truck is now as far as not having to paint the door jams and stuff

I personally like the two-tone paint job. Take, for example, my commuter.

Go with the original color.

Be sure they use enamel and not lacquer.

Lacquer is easier to work with but a lot less durable than enamel.
