What brand and what type?

 

denso or ngk

type is going type is going to be dependant on subjectable conditions nad engine use/size

 

I just installed a set of NGKs and if they can hold up to the abuse they endured in my modded Eclipse then they'll be fine in my Runner.

 

Denso and NGK are the OEM parts, at least on my truck. They are also the best that I have tried.

Either will do fine in your truck!

Of all the different plugs I have tried, NGK have worked the best. One obvious difference was the smoother idle.

 

NGK seems to bet the one to go with now which NGK? Platnum? I have a freind who says they last 100k, or some thing else?

 

I've got NGK's in mine runs great - tried the iridium and in mine they were crap..

I only had them in their for about 400 miles - they are for sale.

 

I'm actually not sure. I just went to NAPA and asked for the oem replacement NGK's, I wasnt too worried about them being the iridium or platinum because they get changed every 30k miles. I do know they were about $4 a piece.

 

Heres a description from ngk on the plugs i bought:

I dont know about the whole 100k mile thing unless thats the iridium, the oem denso's in my truck looked like crap at 50k miles plus i had a CE light because one was fouled.

 

I wouldn't trust any plug to last 100k, but that's just me...

If you do it yourself, it's such a cheap maintenance item that you might as well replace them every 15-20k miles.
