What was before my '03.....'83

Here was my last truck......I have had several cars since then, but none of them have been nearly as fun as this one. I had 7" of lift and 38" Super Swampers on it. There were very few times I got stuck....I wish aI had it back.

I wish I had some shots from some of our trail rides. I had this when I was living in Mississippi, so there were no rocky trail rides, but tons of mud bogs and creek crossings. Where we hunted was on the Mississippi river, so there were a lot of the logging roads that wen through swamps. There were only two trucks that could make those treks, mine and a '73 Ford Bronco with 44" tires. I would love to have it back now that I live in Birmingham and there are so many rock crawling trails around.

When I went off to college, I used it for one quarter and it just wan't good for traveling back and fourth. I didn't want to sell it but my parents said they wouldn't help me out with gas and repairs unless I got something a little more sensable. Anyway, it was purchased and used for fire and rescue in areas where there wasn't many roads. I only saw it once after I sold it, but that was about 13 years ago. I would love to have another '83 like that.

Gotta love that - a fitting use for a trusty (and from the looks of it badass!) old truck.
