I found this strange, black, rectangular thing in my glove box....anyone know what it is?

I don't know what that is i don't have one i check several times

 

personally i would toss that before someone claims that you have read it

 

I saw one of thoes one time along time ago at the dealership the salesman was looking through it as i was test driving my truck and he was answering my qustions from that book so i think its a cheet sheet for the sales department

just useless Toyota Propaganda. Toss it, with the price of gas going up, (they were changing the sign while I was just filling up) you need to get rid of as much excess baggage as you can.

 

Obviously half of the people that post questions on this board have never seen one of those, mainly because they are too young. A long long time ago, before Al Gore's great internet invention, that was how people used to find out info about their vehicles. You can actually sell those on ebay for about $10

It is the D.A. manual or in some cases the S.A. manual.

 

i've seen one before but i have no idea what it does

i would think it would be used for the owners manual, and whatever sort of service records and reciepts the owner plans on keeping

 

LOL My 4runner didn't come with a manual.

 

I had to buy a manual off e-Bay because one of the PO's had decided to toss it. Not really a big deal but for $5 I figured why not have it. I paid more than that for the haynes & I pay even more than THAT for DSL so I can read up on my truck on the internet, best place to peruse a FSM.

 

its the owners manuel. i heard its useless unless your name is manuel
