What is this

I think it is a AC drain line? If so I am going too extend it down. I can see where
my frame is rusting below it. I noticed this when doing my starter repair. There are also some brake or fuel lines in some bad shape in that same area. Those will be next.

What I think is a drain tube

Rusty line below that drain tube

Can't really tell where it is on the truck.

On mine the AC drain line is on the passanger firewall about mid-way up. it look like it but just can't tell where it is on the truck.

Yes. That is your AC drain. I have mine extended with rubber tubing so that it drops about an inch below the frame. If you do that, taper the end so that the long side faces forward or it will back up at freeway speeds.

It should be on your passenger side firewall, in the engine bay. Its not too hard to find.

As for that rusty hose, is that the AT pressure line?!

Passenger side firewall, about half way up, right above the frame. Look in the wheel well and up the firewall, you can't miss it.

ooops, sorry guys. yes on passenger side of truck.

Those lines I am not realy sure what they are. Have too dig in and find out. They run down above the frame then go up into the body of the truck around the passenger door area.

They look like the rear heater lines to me. But still just as imporant to fix. If you don't and they leak all your colant will leak out and your engine will go bye bye.

It is the A/C drain. Just put tubing on mine to extend last month. Mine was dripping right into the sway bar mount. Seeing how much rust yours caused makes me glad I caught it before it weakened the mount...

Hey guys,

Those lines are for the rear heater. I will be replacing them soon. Deff before winter hits up here in NH. Glad I saw them. They come off the back of the motor from some heavy duty rubber lines then go down along the frame up into two other rubber lines. Looks pretty easy too do. Probually get them done next month. Ran out of play money for the truck this month LOL.

Bought 4 new Tokico trekmaster shocks 195.00 bucks. Then had too buy some upper mounts and new washers and bushings+ the nuts another 120 bucks there. Bought the steering rack bushing kit and one right front link. Another 60 bucks there.

So untill next month

Parrothead,

Yeah, I will be extending mine and will be getting in there with a wire brush too clean up that section of frame and giving it a good couple coats of paint.

Fun Fun Fun

Well, I will be getting that water pipe soon. Dealer had one in stock. Said they have sold about 13 so far this year. So I would be checking yours if you have a rear center console heater. I thought of just bypassing it, but might as well just replace it.
