weird idle

Ok, so my truck has been having a weird idle... it it constantly going between 1-2k even after I have replaced the MAF sensor. To boot, i have been getting continually worse gas mileage (Just got 14.02 today)

So the question, fellow yotatech members, is why this happening? could I be running "rich" (i kinda smell it sometimes). If so, why?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys!

Could be TPS. Check your air intake line. Is it level? If not, oil might not be being sucked into the throttle body. It would be collecting in your MAF. (Happened to me). Check for vacuum leaks.

There's the problem.

You don't have enough miles on it.

But seriously ...

There are A LOT of things it could be. I would start with the "usual suspects":
Idle adjustment screw?
O2 sensor? (when it goes bad, tends to run rich)
Seafoam or other injector cleaner?
Filters (air and fuel)?
