Website down. Anyone have the cupholder writeup
The 4runners.org website has been down for the last few days (AFAIK,
maybe longer) so I can't access Bob_98SR's excellent writeup.
I've had my 99 console for about 5 months but finally got around to it
last weekend. Everything's cool so far. But, would like to see the
part on moving the e-brake over. (checked the local junkyards and
getting that e-brake will cost $75 and close to 2 hrs of driving time
so I'd rather just move the e-brake and re-tap the holes some evening)
Anyone have a saved copy of the writeup that you could email to me?
thanks in advance,

Jackson, Are you talking about the cup holder mod that was on here a few days ago? If so, then just scroll down or use this link. It's still here along with the pics. Mike

this is from memory, but i think this is what you do:
put the rear bolt on the ebrake handle but do not fully tighten
swivel the ebrake handle towards the right (passenger) side as far as it will go. it will hit something, i don't remember what but it will only go so far.
make a mark where the new front hole should be, drill, and use a bolt and nut.
you'll probably need an extra set of hands to put the nut on and tighten it because the nut will be under the body.
tapping was not a good method because the metal is too thin to tap.
i think this is how its done, good luck!

Thanks, Caffeine!
That link is what I was looking for. A couple of pics have
broken links, but other than that, it's got it all.
(I didn't know about that searcher either)
