Warm starting trouble...
I have a 2000 SR5 4runner with 180K. Recently it has started stalling on me when I try starting it hot. This is only after driving for a hour or more and then stopping for a short time like to get gas. It might not start for two or three tries but will eventually start. Has anyone experienced this? Could it be the fuel pressure regulator? TIA

I have a similar problem and have narrowed down the culprit to be more than likely the ECT sensor. Being lazy, I have not changed it yet.
Use the search engine for someone posted a write-up on how to test it with a DVM.

Nope, its the IAC, Idle Air Control Valve. It just needs to be cleaned. Very common problem. Just remove it from underneath the throttle body, and clean it with carb or throttle body cleaner. The valve itself is quite small and gets gummed up quickly.
