Question Victron Excel II Pro GunMetal Rims

I am a newbie, but I have been reading this forum for a long time and I must admit that it is one of the better ones I have been to. I tried a search and only came up with one thread which wasn't really about these rims...
So...who here have the Jaos Victron Excel II Pro Gunmetal rims?
-If you do...do you like them, and where can I get a good deal on some?
-If not, do you have any recommendations on gunmetal or black rims that are simular.
-Also I have heard of people getting their rims powder-coated...has anyone here had that done?

I personally thought about having my rims and nerf-bars both powder-coated to match each other...simular to the xterra sc (the only thing I really like on them by the way...)

Thanks!
-Matt

My dad had his SS wheels for his chevelle powder coated gun metal, and has had many other engine parts and parts on my bro's focus powder coated.

Looks good, is durable, and not all that expensive really.

I believe it was something like 40 or 50 dollars each wheel. He's in california though, so they have alot of those kinds of businesses for cheap.

Re: Victron Excel II Pro GunMetal Rims

Matt:

I believe Jaos wheels are somewhere around 200-300 / wheel.. Not the cheapest items by any standard!

Aside from that there are black steel wheels in different configurations that are cheap (50 / wheel range).

Can't help ya but hope that helped!

BTW, welcome aboard!

Thanks...good to be here!

Yeah, I knew that JAOS stuff doesn't come without a hefty price tag. Most I have been able to find are $420 a pop! Can't afford that...I would rather get the supercharger instead!
Thanks for the suggestion...I will do a search...I have seen some runners with the all black off-road wheels and they look pretty tight....hmmmm

I'm assuming you have a Taco/3rd gen Runner then right? I've never seen anything close to those wheels on a 4x4 before so you'll be original by getting them, but for $400+ a piece is outragious

Get the S/C you'll have more fun with that

Here is the only example of the rims I could find and man do they look sweet. I hope Paul (the guy who's rig has the rims) doesn't mind me linking to his page.

Sweet 4runner

Especially since it rocks...

For pricing on Jaos products, check with Jason Burtman. I hear he has some of the best prices, or did, on Jaos products. I am assuming he still sells their stuff.

Oh and an off subject question...searched and couldn't find out if Revo's come without white lettering...does anyone know? (If not I'll turn them in or use shoe polish)

Thanks !

I almost bought a 1997 4runner with these rims on it..and damn, I love how these look.. I thought about getting my toyota 5 star wheels powder coated the gun metal too..I think it would look sweet.

I don't know for sure, but most tires with some kind of white lettering only offer the white lettering on one side, and black lettering on the other side. Most tires can be mounted either white lettering out or black walls out. I know my dueler ATs are that way (non revos).

Something doesn't seem right about Volks on a 4x4

Probably because I'm used to seeing them on fast import cars (350Z's, Supras, Skylines, ect...)

The silver 3rd gen looks great though
