Very Strange Braking Problem

I am having a braking problem with my 96 4runner. My front brakes are locking up when I come to a slow stop. It only happens after I first start driving - the longer I drive the less it happens. Also, the problem seems to increase in wet and cold conditions. It also seems to be a bit more pronounced on loose surfaces.

I have researched the problem quite a bit and haven't had any good answers to this point. I am thinking that it may have something to do with the brake booster but that is just a shot in the dark.

Any ideas or experiences would be a huge help!

Brake booster maybe, but it could be the calipers are wearing out and causing lock up.

to both brakes lock up?

I have the same problem. My front right caliper locks up sometimes....but nothing to the point where I am skidding. When I brake hard, the right corner dips a little.

Check to see if your pads aer wearing funny.

Not to hijack but on a related note:

I just had my passenger side caliper (caliper was put in 2x, 1stone froze up) replaced and new brakes and rotors up front..still when you press down hard it wants to to go the left a bit..my camry did the same thing and everything up there was new too..
