Very quick question for doing Body lift on 96 4runner LTD

Can I use a 3rd gen Tacoma lift or do I have to order in a Roger brown? Im doing a 3 inch lift just to let you know and if anyone has anyone comments on it please let me know. Im using the directions from the 4Crawler website about the problems and how to fix them on doing a 3" lift. Thanks for the input if anyone has any.

I did a 2" BL on my 96 4runner - the kit I bought was from Performance Accessories and it was designed for a Tacoma. I had to buy a handful of longer bolts, but everything else worked fine.

I emailed Roger last week, quick response, def seems quite learned on the 4 Runner

I have a 1997 SR5 5 speed

I will soon purchase a 2 inch body lift kit from him, as it will have everything, to include the steering shaft extension, I will also get a diff drop from him.

To keep it simple and cheap I am also going to do a Rev Tek 3 inch lift

I figure with this 5 inches of lift I can put on 295/75's 16s...I hope to run factory 16 inch wheels but havent researched it yet.

Not having purchased my lift yet, with the recommendation of others on here, the popularity of his kits, and the info he offered me,,,I am going with Roger's kit....I personally wouldnt want to get a kit that was close then have to hunt down other bolts etc etc....I do enough of that with my Camaro

Regards, Tim

I'm not sure what a 297/75 works out to be, but check the width of the tire. If it's 12" wide or more, you could have problems with rubbing on the upper a-arm (lift won't help this). I know my 12.5" wide 33s would have rubbed the stock a-arms pretty badly.
