3rd gen 4 runner ,if your looking AT the engine, top righ thand corner above the fuse box... buzzing sound comes out when i turn my truck off.. anyone know what it is?

Mine does it too, From what i have read on this board it is normal, and won't harm anything. There was apparently a TSB for it, but it has since expired

i believe it has something to do w/ the evap box or charcoal canister tsb. ask christian (96_runner). i think he had that tsb done

I had the same thing two years ago, it's the charcoal emissions canister .....

There was a continual "buzzing" sound from around the area of the battery and evaporative canister at the front left fender area. There is a Toyota TSB #EG002-97 "EVAP CHARCOAL CANISTER NOISE" that calls for a small $17 expansion plenum to be sticky-backed to the canister and connected into the tubing. The buzzing sound then goes away.
