URD vs. 7th Injector-???

I understand how they two kits are different. I am thinking about supercharging and need some directionl.I am not looking into turning my runner into a speed demon, but want to ensure the s/c runs at its peak. Aside from running 93 octane, would one kit be better than the other? thanks.

Just check out the componants and you can quickly see which one is the greater value. You can pay $1300 for one injector, a controller that you can not tune or adjust, and a thermostat. Or you can pay about $900 for 6 injectors, a high engine calibrator, thermo, spark plugs and the much needed fuel pump. You also get the ability to custom tune your truck for optimum performance. You can also retune it when ever you make another mod in the future.

You are not far from me, so getting a proper tune should not be to much trouble.

Is the URD kit hard to tune? My business partner has a vast knowledge of turbos and s/c and is familiar with setting up v-tec controllers, turbos timers, etc. Is this kit complicated?
i am trying to iron as many kinks out before i do the install.

To be honest, the apparent difficulty in tuning is what has kept me from getting your kit. I am lucky enough to have the HG/LR ping but have tried to adjust my driving style to keep it in check. I like having the S/C but am concerned that I will screw something up while attempting to tune it.

Tuning is easy. URD will have a step by step guide some time next week.

Of course NC is not to far of a drive from MD.

Thanks for posting this info, I am getting a Supercharger as well but was unsure of which fuel upgrade to get. I really don't want my 4Runner to lose reliability or longevity, I just want it to have a little more grunt when heading through the hills.

What are these "pings" everyone talks about?

you will need some type of fuel mod to avoid possible engine ping due to the added power and added fuel needs of the motor. For a more involved explanation, do a search on s/c fuel mods...plenty of info
