UPS guy delivered my "new" soft top (PICS!!!!)

UPS delivered my "new" soft top today.

Here are some pics of the complete soft top. It is in brand new condition (smells like your grandpa's old army tent though). It allows full use of the back window which I have up in one of the pics. Kind of a beeyatch to put on, but it is tighter than the nuts on the Brooklyn Bridge, nice and quiet, snug fit.

The next pics are of the bikini top and the convertible frame boot. The bikini top is pretty banged up but serves its purpose. I like the sleek look of the convertible top boot

All in all I'm pretty happy with it. I paid out the a$$ for it (you know how it goes when you want something BAD).

I realize its not for everyone, but for me it was EXACTLY what I wanted.

company that made this is no longer in business, but I think its a cool design. No drilling required, uses existing factory bolt holes.

Cool, very cool.
That looks very nice.

I would do it if I had a 1st gen.

I'm almost embarrassed to say how much $$$...cheaper than a can back obviously...but more expensive than a kayline...but there are two tops and a boot cover so it isn't TOO bad (I"m still trying to justify it in my mind).

The first time I put it on it took about 45 minutes. But I had to bolt on the cab and side rails...I didn't read the directions so some of it was trial and error.

It comes down quick..a couple of minutes..

Going back up the second time..probably 10 minutes..

Most of the time is spent tightening and loosening the 6 bolts that run along the top and sides of the cab.

Thanks for the compliments.

Swweeeeet....That is exactly what I have been looking for. You lucky Baaasterd....

Must....Resist......Urge......To.....Spend rest of my life trying to locate one just like that.
Your right, it is "Kind of a beeyatch to put on" You might as well just sell it to me and get it out of your life.[mutters something unintelligable under breath]
Looks good Gohawks!

Well my wife would be happy if I sold them. She's not a real happy camper about the purchase.

Thanks for the compliments!

I love it to death but it is FAR from perfection, 200,300 miles of wear and tear on it.

I bought the truck without evening seeing so much as a picture of it let alone taking it for a test drive. Just had a good feeling about the guy selling it. Overnighted him a cashier's check and drove 6 hours w/my dad that weekend to pick it up (12 hours round trip).

My wife thinks now knows I have another "woman" in my life and its driving her nuts.
