For power the Deckplate (https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f130/deckplate-mod-75169/) and ISR (https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f130/intake-silencer-removal-mod-3rd-gen-4runner-2000-a-75168/) mods will be a good start. For suspension scroll down a little bit on this website to see a few different options - http://sonoransteel.com/

well for power you could always chuck a supercharger on it..but besides that its best to start with some usual maintenance like sparkplugs, plug wires, a good airfilter(trueflow), and change up some fluids and grease 'er up.
many options for suspension all depending on what type of ride you want and how the vehicle will be used (street v. offroad)

Suspension:

Search for Addco & Bilstein shocks.

Power:

Search for TRD supercharger, decide on URD's fuel kit or the TRD 7th injector, decide between the 2.2" or 2.1" pulley.

300 crank hp not enough? Go to www.customtacos.com and search for turbo options.

I see. NA street 4runner.

Intake, exhaust... great...

You'll actually see the biggest gains in acceleration, braking, and mpg from removing the two pieces of your skid plate, your spare tire, lowering mechanism, spare tire stabilizer bars, (120 lbs total reduction up to this point), side step rails, (35 lbs), and getting lighter wheels. Volk offers a 16 x 8" wheel that weighs a scant 13 lbs, a full 10 lbs lighter than the stock 16 x 7. Per wheel, 1 lb of unsprung rotational mass reduction equals 8 lbs of sprung weight reduction. So by going this route, you reduce the effect of 320 lbs of sprung weight just with wheels alone. Add that to the 155 lbs mentioned above, and you'll have a vehicle that will perform as it would 475 lbs lighter than stock.

Honestly, as a street runner how often do you use your spare tire? Remove the spare, get a fix a flat bottle and carry on.
