Upgrade Fan Blower

Is it possible to upgrade the flan blower in a 1st gen 4runner to something more powerful. My ac is cool. I just want a wind tunnel in my truck. Thanks -Seth

I got mine to blow pretty fierce on high. In fact, it blows so much air that I barely use the high setting anymore. It's just too much airflow most of the time. Unfortunately, I don't have A/C. Ahhh, that's okay. A/C is for wimps!

Have you taken apart the blower motor and cleaned the cage, armature assembly and the spring loaded contacts inside yet? This made a BIG difference for me. I noticed that the contacts on mine had worn deep grooves into the armature assembly. In fact, the grooves were so deep that the shaft area where the contacts meet were practically worn through in several areas. After a quick trip to the local junkyard, I had an armature with very little wear on the contact area and installed that into mine. After I did that, I then had a nice strong blower motor again.
