Just not the leak i wanted, i was hoping to need to just retighten the manifold well it turns out it has a cracked manifold.....

I hope the JB Weld works out for you. The Jeep 4.0 Inline 6 cyl is famous for cracked exhaust manifolds... mine cracked and I didnt want to replace it yet so I MIG Welded it. It re-cracked open within 500 miles. Welded it again and the same result happened. It is very hard to keep a crack from spreading once it developes on an exhaust manifold... just way too much heat and vibration going on there.
I hope this fix lasts for you! If not, it is a total PITA to replace yourself, but just the cost of an aftermarket, OEM style manifold with expansion welds so it wont crack again by itself is not nearly as expensive as having someone else do the labor.
Good Luck.
