U-Joints gone?

My truck started making this weird sound the other day....it sounds like something is rubbing....and it starts to squeek when the vehicle starts to move forward. I believe its my u-joints on the rear shaft are gone...anyone ever had this same problem ?

They should be serviced at every oil change MINIMUM....

A lot more if you go off road

By service? What do you mean ? Cause there are no grease-nipples....so I can't really maintenance them. They have never been done since I owned the truck. "2years"

oouch!
You are going to have to look a little harder. I think there is a total of 8 fittings on a 4x4 runner. 2 years without grease is not a good thing.

I'm only doing the rear shaft...talked to Toyota today..only 2 on the rear drive-shaft. And how can I grease an enclosed U-joint? I'm getting aftermarket new one's with grease nipples......

replace your u-joints... there is a grease fitting reachable by turning u-joint until you can see it/get to it kind of inside it

A dry joint will emit a high-pitched squeaking sound for each revolution of the driveshaft. Not unlike a squeaky toy for a pet. The sound will typically begin once the vehicle is moving and continue up till around 20 mph. The good news is that bad joints usually go thousands of miles before they fail. Vibration can become an issue.
