I think you have to climb onto the rear tire, jump to the running board, then open the door.

Those are JDM 4Runners/Hilux Surfs, I've seen those 4Runners while looking at the Hilux Surf's. The 3rd gen with the tire carrier, is only availabe on the Hilus Surf's.

pointless. both of them. Somebody dropped way too much money into BOTH of those 4runners and now BOTH are pretty much useless. The big one can't offroad worth crap and obviously isn't a daily driver- mpg and turning would both be hilarious to see. The small one can't offroad, completely defeating the purpose of buying a 4runner.

What a waste...

Yeah but the lowered 4Runner, likely has a turbo under the hood. Lifted one - can just be a show truck.

i don't think it is. JDM are famous for stacking frames on top of each other. i don't know why, maybe to get pass suspension lift laws or something. i've since 4runners with two or three frames welded together and then a 3" body and a 4" suspension thrown on with 44" tires.
