2nd Gen Runner recall?

As many of you know I will be replacing my engine this weekend. I’ve been searching through the forums and I have just discovered that there was a recall on 90 to 95 4Runners. I’ll be making the call to see if my car has already been fixed. For the time being, does anyone know about this? Do you have a website with details? I’d really like to know. This is a chance for me to save $3,400!!! I could use that cash for more important things. Like an SAS!!!

You can try and blame the reason you need to replace the engine is because your 2nd gen hasn't been serviced for the headgasket recall. It's worth a shot!

Has your runner ever had the head gasket recalled?
Check with your Toyota dealer. You may be able to get a brand new engine for $0.

That's the thing. I don't know if it has or hasn't. I called as soon as I find out. They were closed. I am freaking out! I could get this done FREE!!! I would cry! OH I WOULD CRY!!!

Please please pray that it hasn't been done. Any info on the web I can occupy my mind with tonight?

There's a 1-800 number you call and find out but I can't remember what it is. Maybe someone can help out.
