Tube Bumpers

OK Web Wheelers (in Schaefer's eloquent language), I'm getting ready to build a tube bumper and wanted to get some feedback from all you YotaTechies. What do you all think of these designs. I'm kinda leaning towards the BigRocks designs and working with the type 3 design. Of course I would have some tubing protecting the winch, but not too much. I'm thinking around 14 different mounting points for the bumper. It won't be seperating from the frame under stress.

Lets hear it!

Talking Web Wheelers

As a foremost authority on web wheeling I like the one you are thinking of going with, less weight, equal strength and it looks kewl to boot! The tube style bumpers rock!

I like the BadLands Bumpers - specially the Basher style with the wrap around to protect the head lights.

I would like to get a Bigrocks type 2 tube bumper(reciever for multi-mount winch) and fill in the open gaps with sheet metal and put some turn signals in there. I really like the tube style bumpers!

parts

Tomorrow I'm heading down to ABQ to pick up the parts needed to put this thing together. I'm going to look for 1/16" sheet metal to fill in the gaps and mount flood lights behind, as well as fix it up cosmetically.

Steve-

I was just about to ask if you stilled planned to skin over the tubes like we talked about way back when. Are you planning to work on it this weekend? Don't know if I'll be down in your 'hood anytime soon or not, but I'll give a call sometime. I've got some ideas rolling around in my mind, but I doubt I could describe them without being able to point at the vehicle...

The first one and the third one look best to me, I am not really a fan of the Badlands ones.

Where is Schaefer to offer his opinion?

Here's my front the I still have to finish. I'll be adding a front receiver and a couple more support bars. The only thing I don't like about Big Rocks bumpers is the side bars still tie into the original front bars. All the stress is hitting only two points.

A closer look at the side mount. It will attach via the tow hook holes. I'll have to figure something else out when I sas .

can you make one that you can use the stock bumper for the rocks design??? Here in hawaii, you cant run any after market tubes, without stock bumpers. I like your deign, but IM also look to buy the ARB. Only reason, I have to replace my bumpers, I desided to take revenge for everyone one, and "bang" a lawyers car.

make one like the 4th option at big rocks where the winch sits down in it. i also like the badlands without the headlight wrap around that has the flat steel on top instead of the diamond plate. The bentup is also really nice.
