Question TSB's on new Tacoma?

Anyone know if there are any TSB's on the new Tacoma? My dad just bought one and I was wondering if there is anything to look for? Pretty sweet truck, wish I had that kind of cash!!

I love my 2005 Tacoma.... Do not know of any TSB's, might want to check Tundra Solutions though.

I heard of one. It's too big, and a real shame that it won't make a good trail-rig. Bummer. However, if you like it, then that's all that matters and this TSB can be ignored.

That's a pretty brash statement. Care to back that opinion up?

Too big? I like the size of this rig, not too big not too small. As far as a good trail rig, well from the dealership he got a 2" lift, 285's and new rims for nothing!! This thing looks pretty trail ready to me( although it will never see much trail time). I think with a few more mods this rig would be pretty trail ready! Just my humble opinion though!

Isn't that Taco sized somewhere between the old mini-pickup and a fullsize? Seems like a good tradeoff. I think what Rngrchad was saying was that it is substantially larger than the older Toyotas, which, even with their small size, are very large on a tight trail. But it is a Toyota, so it'll do great off-road, just not as good in the tight spots.

Sorry about getting all fired up about my previous post stating that the new tacos won't make good trail rigs. What do I know about them? Nothing really. I looked at the 4th gens during the Detroit auto show for the first time and felt kind of "let down" by the fact they have gotten so much larger. I guess Toyota knows what's best and the fact is there is more market for a truck that fits familes w/ 2 kids and a dog. That means the traditional 3rd gen taco must RIP as a result of its inferior amount of interior room.
It'll grow on me and when I'm married w/ kids I'll be all about the 4th gens

I could totally be wrong, but I thought the new Taco's weren't dimensionally all that much bigger, like only a couple inches here and there. I totally agree that they look a lot bigger. Especially the nose. I dunno, anyone got any facts?

PS sorry for being snappy

I think your right. I guess it really is determined on what you think is alot bigger...comparing 05 double cab to 04 double cab...The new taco is 6 inches longer,3 inches taller, 4 inches wider, 150 lbs heavier (little more depending on options).....So its not really THAT much bigger then previous years.....

Almost all manufacturer TSB's are posted on Alldata. The new Tacoma has a few of an advisory nature, instructing dealers about maintenance or repair procedures, none are required services. For comparison, the links below show TSB's for the 2005 Tacoma 4X4 V-6 vs. the Chevrolet "equivalent".

Huh...I thought it was even less than that, but that sounds right. I guess even though they're bigger, it's still not like you're in a Titan or Ram or something huge...
