Truck sits to high/lowering options?

I have a 93 mini pickup and the truck is stock. It sits way to high in the rear and I was wondering what are my options for lowering the back 2" or more to make it level>?

Why not lift the front? Crank up your T-bars a bit now and look into ball joint spacers to level it out.

You could put blocks under the axle ...

I would never do it, but, you could if you were really worried about it.

I dont want to crank the tbars and get a rough ride. Its my DD and i want to keep it low and level and still be able to carry my dirtbikes when I go out riding.

It would be nice if had over the axle leafs then I could put a longer shackle on but that wont happen.

Just keep your bikes in the back of the bed.
If you do lower it your rear might sag alot with the bikes in back.

What is currently lifting the rear? If its nothing then I would suggest measuring rim lip to fender front and rear and seeing what the diff is...14" is stock so if your front is low its just sagged over time and its advisable to crank em up a bit to get it back to stock...when I did that my truck rode and handled better.

I would like to keep the bikes back there then I could go ride everday if I didnt work I dont mind if the back sags some when its loaded after I lower the back. It can only go as far as the bumstops, which isnt much.

Where can I get the blocks at?

If it's really stock then it should not be 2" high in the back. (can the t-bars be cranked 2" lower? doubtful.)

Easiest way is to find another truck like it that sits right, park next to it and look at the suspension. Measure from a fixed point ON THE TRUCK to another fixed point On The Truck, like in the rear measure from the top of the axle to the bottom of the frame rail. Compare. For the front, same type of thing (not familiar with 2wd) measure from something on a control arm to something fixed that will tell you if the control arm is higher or lower. . That will tell if you are high in back, low in front, or both.

A guy passed me on the freeway the other day in a lowered mini truck with a refrigerator in the back. I could see the bone jarring ride and could hear the suspension going "slam slam slam" as it bottomed out. Nice feature...

Toss a couple bags of salt or those tube-sand deals in there. With stock springs (and even now) both trucks I've had have ridden smoother with a load in the back. Take 'em out when the bikes go in.
Cheap, simple.

Good ideas with the weight, it definetly helps the ride...I know in my race truck when I dont have my two 37" spares in the bed the ride is really rough.

I think Im going to get the 2" block. Plus I will weld up some sort of removable rack under the bed where I can put around 70-100lbs of scrap steel I have lying around. This should help distribute the weight front to rear with the addition of the truck being closer to level.

Somehow knowing that you have a race truck makes me feel a little goofy for offering up advice like "put sumthin' heavy in it".

Oh well
