TRD taco rear in 4runner..

Just making sure this will work. Ive been told it will just double checking before I purchase. Ill be buying the rear out of a trd taco and putting the 3rd and locker in my runner..

The taco housing is set up for leaf springs and would not be able to just bolt up.
With modifications to your 4runner housing you could run the elocker 3rd....described here...

I may just use my axle and swap out the 3rd and elocker. Seems easier. Just making sure it will work.

It'll work, i am on my 2nd taco diff in my 4runner housing.

And i'm waiting to pick up those gears and check with a friend on them.

does anyone know if the 3rd and 4th generation 4runners with elockers will work in an 8inch rear end or potentally swapped i know the 4th gen are substantually wider but i wasnt sure about the 3rd member theres one for sale close to my house and ive been wanting an elocker for a while now
