TRD Supercharger Garage Install! DIY

My supercharger is in the mail, so I'm looking at an installation sometime next weekend. I've done what homework I can (Gadget, TRD manual), but does the board have any additional advice or tips?

Specifically, what things should I prepare for (specialty tools, parts, gaskets) and what other things should I do @ the same time? Anyone have tips or additions to the TRD instructions to make the process go a little smoother? I'll take great care when handling the MAF sensor -- what other parts are ultra-sensitive?

Thanks for the help, I have a week and a half to prepare.

The manual that comes with it has great directions. Long as you follow that, you will have no problems.

Have fun!

Plan on 4 hours, I had the most trouble with the A/C and P/S belts, once you figure out how they work, the rest is basic wrenching. The extension for the oil dip stick took a little bending to get that to fit.

I had to buy some vacuum line for my install. What year is yours?

The reason I had to buy more lines is because my Power Steering pump had a vacuum line that went to the stock manifold.

2002 SR5

Sorry -- forgot to mention the details. I've got a 2002. Any particular tricks/difficulties with this year? I see a lot of stuff for the EGR valve (not on this year, right?)..

Sorry to cut in, but I think the EGR "issue" is referring to the header install. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Make sure that you do Gadget's "free fmu mod" while you are there.

Good luck with the install. You are well on your way to smiling more often.
