TRD Air Filter

So I was down at the dealership getting maintenance done and they had the TRD Air Filter sitting in front of me with the cleaning/recharging kit. Yes, I picked it up and since my stock air filter was horrid aftedr checking it last week aI decided WTH I'll try it.

Most people on here seem to prefer the AmSoil stuff and maybe if that was in my face for an hour I would have tried that one instead.

I'm sure I'll be screaming along with the tuners around here with my 1-2HP gain! Look out!

Ohh yeah here's some pics too for those bored enought to look at an airfilter.

Yeh, sometimes it works on me. But more so when I need an air filter and the whole cleaning instead of replacing thing is nice. Hopefully I'll make that money back over the long haul....real long haul.

How does the TRD air filter compare with others like the K&N? I've been contemplating a new air filter as well....

I believe K&N makes it for TRD... someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I can't say. I've never used anything but stock air filters until this one.

What I have noticed since I installed it today is that the throttle responds a bit better. There's no noticeable HP but the throttle response is faster to me.

I'll be checking it weekly to see how good it's doing at catching the debris.

I don't know there's no other markings on the filter except for TRD.

In the paperwork that came with the Filter Speedclean Kit I bought witht eh filter it says "Advanced Flow Engineering, Inc." on the "material Safety Data Sheet".

The company is located in Corona, CA.

Whenever I go to the parts counter these TRD air filters are always staring me in the face, I think when I need a new air filter, I will pick one up!
