Transmission diference?
I have a W56 tranny in my 87 runner.I had a 94 standard cab truck with a 22re and 5 speed. Were they still W56's in 94.I had the same lift, gears, and tires on the truck and it started off the line smoother than my runner, even with the top off (weight).I want to swap out the tranny cause it is whining and I wasn't sure if the trucks trans was geared lower or something.Anybody know?

Yep, W56s used for all the 22RE equipped trucks:

Difference is W56A/B are top shift t-cases and W56C/D are forward shift.
