Mark,

Maybe its because I routed my hoses up and over the hood, drilled a couple of holes with a hole saw to drop them back down to the tranny?

To 2nd Jamie... Yeah, no sweat. You won't believe how small the cooler is. You could practically hang it from your rearview mirror as a dangly!

Oh man! You did? wow... 'k... yeah, that would make a difference!

On mine, the outlets from the 1678 are pointed down, and the hoses run between that front frame member, under the radiator, and right to the nipple on the radiator and then to a male<->male to hook up with the line from the tranny. I actually had hose _left over_ from what was included in the box.

You could fit 3 or 4 onto a Tacoma condenser/radiator. The tranny cooler is not as big as you think it is.

This is where I got mine:

Brain-

I actually was going to mention this to you, but for some reason I forgot. When I put my tranny cooler on. I downloaded your write up on my laptop and was all set to do it. I went out and bought 12 feet of tranny hose. When I went to put it on, my building security guy just gave me this look. So I had to go to Aamco and have them do it (for $25 ) and then when I handed him the 12 feet of hose, he looked at me and asked me "why I wanted the tranny cooler mounted in the trunk?" He said I didn't need a tranny hose that long, and that everything needed was in the box. So he mounted it in the front of the radiator.

So I was wondering in your write-up was it supposed to be 12 inches, 2 feet, or something else? But I guess you just mounted it differently.

Well, perhaps 12 FEET was a bit long, but that is what I bought as I didn't 'want to have to go back to the store once I tore into everything, but I ended up using about 6+ feet so I have some left over. No big deal to me. I did open the kit before I bought the hose and knew there was NO WAY that with the amount of hose that came in my kit you could run it to where I put it. And the smaller diameter might go on there, but the 3/8 I bought was a pain, I can only imagine a smaller diameter. Mine is on the AC condenser, not the radiator and I left plenty of loose hose, not as in loose to get ripped off, just not tight as in it has some play for flexing and giving. I'm going to reroute it anyway after I build some brackets for the cooler and get rid of those zip ties through my condenser and radiator as they will eventually cause a hole, thus a leak.
