I have been looking to buy a tranny cooler for my 99 4Runner. I found a brand new TRD cooler on eBay but it says its for a 97-04 Tacoma. Does anyone know if the ones for the 4Runner are the same or if its not will it still work with mine.

 

How much do they want for it? Hayden makes the TRD coolers "at least that what I read on here". I purchased a Hayden 678 pretty cheap. Install was a piece of cake. If you search, you'll find a ton of install and purchase info.

I don't know what size that one is but the Hayden 678 is 7 3/4 X11 3/4. You can get a Hayden cooler for $50. The only difference from what I've heard is the mounting brackets are specific for the TRD. The Hayden requires you to either use the zipties "which is the way I went because it's clean" or the brackets you have to figure out how to mount. I'm not sure about your specific question though. If someone knows the size of it you can figure out if it'll fit. Good Luck!
