Toying with this no-chrome look. Comments welcome.

I have been playing with this idea in my head for awhile, so I just whipped up a quick sloppy rendition of what it might look like.

I've never seen a 2nd gen like this, the more I stare at it, the more I like it. Anyone else?

I think it looks nice all colored out, but it makes it look older, I'd leave it chrome but that's just me

I like the way your truck looks...the pic you made looks like it is related to Barney.

Keep your rig the way it is... It had the right amount of chrome. not too much.

I think it looks great the way it is, but if it were mine and I was gonna do something with the chrome, I'd try black...

I like your truck to still have that original mostly stock appearance plus there are getting to be less and less nice looking 2nd gens so you need to....

......REPRESENT,YO!!!

Your truck is too nice to paint over stuff, leave that to the guys that need a coverup.

I saw a heep yesterday that was almost the same color and he had painted the bumpers and stuff and it didn't look very good.

If I were you I'd try to do them black, I don't like the chrome either.

Paint the chrome black instead. That would look pimp.

I thought that was gonna look like when i read the title. But it actually didn't look bad at all. Not sure if I'd take that over chrome though. Those 2nd Gens look great when they're shined up with the chrome reflecting. Bling bling!

The whole black thing was cool....when only a few people had it. I think you need to leave the chrome.

Well, I've opted against it, thanks for setting me straight. I think I'd rather put the money towards a locker instead. The black bumpers look kind of snazzy, but I still don't think I'll go for it.

The reason I started thinking, is because my rear bumper is starting to rust badly in spots. How much would rechroming it run as a ballpark figure?
