tire issue

so i was installing schaefers shackle hanger today, and i look at my front left tire and notice two little pieces of steel coming out (look like nails)...i think, not good...so i take the pliers and pull them out to see if they had gone through...and air started coming out so i put them back in.

took it to tire kingdom, they said they couldnt plug/fix it because the two holes were so close together, and of their location on the tire. so he said i needed to replace the two front tires because although i have lots of tread left, its not close enough to brand new to where i could just replace the front left tire. is this accurate?

i found my tire and size (maxxis mudder buckshot 305/70/16) online at national tire and wheel for 140 a piece so ill probably order them fairly soon; is this my best option?......thanks for any feedback. pics below of all 4 tires...and one of the shackle hanger! thanks for making just one steve!

and the shackle hanger...

you could fix it safely... however a shop wont touch it due to liability, and a $15 flat repair to them is not as great as selling $300 in tires.....

replace one tire, swap on your spare, and patch the nailed tire and use that as spare....

the holes are so close in fact they could repair it with 1 patch.... so that idea is them just not wnating to deal with it.....

Order 4 new tires. Take an old one for a spare. Sell the other 2 to people that need a spare, etc...

yea ive been thinking about it. im thinking of going to 35's and getting some different tires...i duno what kind. i dont like the idea of me fixing that and driving on it and wheelin with it, i would be kind of nervous. the good thing is that i can drive around on it fine...i actually first noticed it sunday, but didnt bother to actually investigate. i just dont know what to do!

if you get someone who knows what they are doing, its safrer to have it patched... if those nails slip out on the freeway, you will lose air and might have a blowout......

Put the two on the back up front, buy one new one and put it with the good one from the front onto the rear, patch or plug the one with the hole and use it for a spare

Put the two on the back up front, buy one new one and put it with the good one from the front onto the rear,
it will drive better with the 2 best tires up front.
