Now how long is it before you get a fix it ticket and have to remove the tint?? Cause in Cali its illegal to have the front windows tinted, but it does make it look better!

If your not driving like a retard/jackass, you prolly won't get pulled over. I have had mine tinted since I bought the car, and I have never been pulled over for it. Cops have pulled up next to me and looked straight at me and never done anything...

What did you get 5% or 20% tint? My eyes are not as good as they use to be

Looks good but I think the front windows are too dark. I think legal for front windows here in Texas is 35%. It will save your interior a lot of sun damage and helps a lot in the summer months. What's the logic in not having the front windows tinted in Cali?

victor, i have 20% on mine. and i heard not allowing tint in cali is for the officers safety. there have been incidents when police get shot while approaching the car and cant see in. i may be wrong on that.

So you put 20% over the factory tint. No wonder it looks like 5%. Looks like you got a good job there. Now you can turn down your A/C in the summer.

its 5% all around except for the windshield, its not legal but we dont have a huge gang problem around where i live, so the cops arent as sketch about it, that plus it gets really warm in the summer. On my previous vehicle i had the same setup for over 2 years got hasseled once but he let me go, i dont drive crazy either.

Looks pretty slick. Mine is 20% as well. Here the limit is 50% on the front doors and 35% everywhere else (except front). If you get pulled over just have your windows rolled down before they get there. That's what I do. Couple of weeks ago he snuck up on the passenger side, and I had my truck off so I couldn't get the window down. He just gave me a verbal warning, so I just have to make sure he doesn't see me again...

You could always just roll with the front windows down all the time if it's an issue lol... personally I think it's a little too dark I like to be able to see who's/what's about to hit me and I'm on the road a lot at night...but it does look really sharp... nice lookin' pooch too...

Ya the cop that pulled me over gave me a warning too then said "you better hope you never see me again" ..."yes sir".... then bought a new car so i dont have to worry about that anymore.

I still roll the windows down as a precaution.

Looks good. I want my windows tinted and just want to go one step darker than the factory tint. What percent is one step darker than the factory tint?

I think factory tint is like 35%, so one step darker would be 20%.

Rolling your windows down in the summer is a great idea. Looks suspicious when its 15degrees outside.

I like the black on black. Looks slick.

I see a lot of people in California with tinted front windows...even though its supposedly illegal. Donno.

The door windows are 50 and the rest is 35, which is the legal limit (in WI). Next step would be 35 and 20. I put 20 on the doors and left the cab 35. You can barely tell, and it was MUCH cheaper.

Thanks man, ya there are a lot of people with tinted fronts.

When i got pulled over once, the cop said no tint on the front windows whatsoever, but im sure if they can see you its not a big deal.
