Question Timing belt replacment?

I am just wondering how much I can expect to pay at the Dealership for a timing belt replacement on my 3.0 Also is the 3.0 an Interference Engine?
And do they adjust the timing when they replace the belt??

Thanks

You can expect to pay a lot, in the $300> range, and they're going to try to sell you, cam seals, crank seals, belts, t-stat, coolant>>>>>>! Even though they're right there replacing the t-belt all these are extra labor and money, even though thy have to remove your belts and drain your coolant these are all extra items. Don't caught up in the "Stealership" game. Have them replace the T-belt, and maybe the cam or crank seals if needed.
To some people the 3.0 is an interference engine, it interferes with everything especially power, oh well, comes with the payments!
Yes the adjust the timing also and it's the only thing that's not extra.
You can call the dealer and ask for a quote, but you better hold on to your wallet! Your better off finding a good reputable independent repair shop that has worked on these engines, the price difference will shock you.

Take care!

While you got the front torn down, replace all the worn parts if you don't know the history of the engine...you'll save labor and have peace of mind in knowing it is done.

On my engine rebuild I replaced it all...now I have a "new" engine and won't have to worry about it for a LONG time.

Be proactive (maintenance) instead of reactive (when it breaks)

I don't believe it's an interference engine.
