Okay, i'm not sure if this is a typical problem or not but. I drive a v6 T4R and compared to my friend's '91 Accord LX. It has better throttle response. When i slammed the gas pedal on the Accord, it peeled out even though it wasn't as fast but still. When i slammed on my gas pedal on my T4R, it took awhile to go fast. But i know my T4R is faster than that Accord. But does this happen to any normal T4R because it's heavy or my fuel injector is good enough?

The weight transfer from the front to the rear, in the 4runner is causing it not to peel out. The Accord is FWD this when it accelerates, the weight transferes from the front to the rear. And you are comparing apples to oranges my friend. You are talking about on SUV. If you want a fast SUV look into the Porsche Cayanne. just my .02

 

if you want a difference in that response REGEAR. and have your Valve Body Redone so the shifting is much more sport like, and thats a NIGHT/DAY difference.

If you want to feel some power im with localmotion, Cayanne or x5 4.8 or the new jeep SRT which does 0-60 in 4.9 and outruns basically all those listed before

theyre fruit. eat 5-9 a day. theyll make you healthy so you can mash the throttle

 

plus think of how much less rubber the accord has on the ground compared to the 4runner.

I know what you mean though. I had a toyota 87 4x4 that I could spin the tires with ease. Not with my 4runner.

As long as you get the point, that is all that matters.
The Accord and the 4runner are completely different so even if your makes more HP/torque....
.....the Accord is much lighter, has a better drag coefficient, and probably better hp/weight ratio as well.
They are built for totally different purposes....that is not to say you can't make the 4runner fast either.
All personal preference.

 

I concur with regearing. It's all in your tranny. I get a whiplash from just tiptoeing on the gas.. (350z) tranny mod can drastically increase your performance.
