Throttle body interference
I have the Throttle Body off, and thought well I will test the TPS.
I had cleaned it earlier. Went to test the R at full open, and noted it doesn't go full open ('flat' plate.)
Then I noted it had physical resistance, and saw the arm in the pic. It hits the other arm on the side. Not sure what the device in pic is.
I don't think it should be rubbing against it. I wonder which part I should try to bend a bit first?
throttle assembly hitting (dash pot??)
Geez. And its ginormous again. Sorry about the size.

I will update this a bit so maybe it will help folks.
Bottom line; Yeah. Don't be a dumb***. I had reassembled it incorrectly. I have photos of before, so its pretty much 'intuitively obvious to the casual observer'.
I'll try to locate them, resize (can't remember how I'd done it before) and upload.
On a side note, I happened across a thread on another board, about crappy, erratic idles. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/...axbore.479914/
I looked at mine, and Lo and behold, I dang sure had daylight, save two small spaces at '8 and 10 o'clock. I did NOT take a pic. But I did send it off Friday to Maxbore.
I know the old saying "Don't let perfection be the foil of completion" but since the one time I had gotten the salvaged wreck to run, it was -really- rough and trash. So here we are.
