Thinking of new rims? Need opinions
i think a new set of rims on my factory tires would make a bigger impact on looks over a brushguard. i want to black out my 4runner so i was thinking of the pro comp 8089s. they are not to much and i like the look of them. the question is will a 16x8 rim, Backspacing: 4.5", Bolt Circle: 6x5.5, and a 0mm offset be the right size for my rig? and will my factory 265/70/16 tires work fine until i upgrade them to 265/75s?
here is a picture of the rims
if anybody has any other suggestions for rims, please let me know

well i probably want lift mine for awhile and if i do it will probably just be the PP 1 inch springs. and if i get the 16 inch rims i can go ahead and use them now and save money and buying a new set of tires just yet.
i really just wanna know if that is the right size of rim to fit on mine.
and fireteacher someone on here has them on a silver rig. i've seen it before but i dont remember the user, anyway it looked pretty good!

I can make you some spinners--Forget the Bling and get Dirty--women like it better that way--
Just kidding--i just never understood the 4x4 combined with the Bling--Something to think about though is whether or not you want to eventually upgrade to larger tires (33's or 35's) you would want a 3 5/8 BS on 6 on 5.5. Just thoughts about planning ahead. Micky Thompson classic II's have that size.

sloan those are nice rims pictured from Pro Comp-remember that they frequently have those on sale for something like buy 3 and get 1 free-at the 4wd parts website or their magazine-Off Road Adventures.
I did just see those same rims on a Chevy Colorado I think it was-and they really dressed up the look of the ride. However I would think twice before ever off roading in them-to me they are just "too nice". To each his own....

yea they do look nice, but for the kind off-road i do in my 4runner is limited since its only 2WD. mostly dirt trails in the woods to camping spots or creek riding so i dont think they would get hurt to badly. they would mostly be for looks though

4.5" of backspacing will be fine with your stock tires.
My rims are 17x8.5 with 4.5" of backspacing. They fit my 265/70r17 just fine, in fact they also fit 285/70r17 without any a-arm issues, but I didn't feel like trimming the crap out of my wheel wells.
265/70r16 and 265/75r16 will both fit nicely with 4.5" of backspacing, however, if you have running boards the 75r16's may touch a little when turning sharply.
