Talking Thinking of buying......

A Land Rover Series 3, 1976. Always wanted to restore an old 4x4. Thought about an FJ40 but considering the price of Toy parts, this is the much cheaper option. Similar to the one int eh pic. Cost 350 euro!
Do ya think i should go for it?

Hi Delboy,

There is an old '87 LWB ex MOD in a scrappy yard not too far from me. The guy said it need engine work!!! To me that sounds like shovel in a V8..... LOL.

Seriously though, he only wants €700 for it. Body work is excellent the interior needs a spruce up but the chassis etc looks great. And as its a commercial, the V8 could go in and the tax would be low....... sweet.

I hear that all the stuff to mount a rover v8 can be picked up cheap and off the shelf.

Myself and a mate are buying it soon hopefully, we just need someplace to keep it and work on it.

Sounds good! Mine needs a bit more work but should be fun. Just need to convince the fiancee its a good buy. She might be ok as she loves old land rovers!
Wish me luck!
