I would say yes!! I have owned a pioneer sub in the mid 90's and it sounded great. The proper box and the correct wattage and it should sound nice.

I would look on ebay first. I bought my two 2003 model Kicker C12's for $106 shipped to my door. I then bought a dual 12 box with 1.5 cu.ft. per chamber for $40 shipped. The box was made out of 3/4" MDF with gold plated connectors. The subs and the box were brand new. Make sure the box is made out of 3/4" MDF. Don't buy anything thinner than that or any of that crappy particle board.

So I got two subs and a box shipped to my door for $146. Plus you don't have to pay tax if you buy something from outside your state.

If you want to know who I bought the stuff from on ebay so you can check out their auctions, just PM me or catch me on AIM.

just giving you other options not saying they were better thats all. i would go through ebay and spend alittle more on one better sub if i was you, but thats your choice. image dynamics ID12D4 V.3 is 130 and its an excellent sub.

L33:

Save your bucks man, you are buying a 4WD, right?!?! Save up, put a big downpayment, and then you'll be paying less on your monthlies and over time, paying less interest.

Just some friendly financial advice.

I've had several Pioneer mobile electronics over the years (receiver, subs, speakers, etc) and the quality has always been very good for the money. If you're not looking to drop a ton on speakers, I say go for it.
