Water will bog the engine VERY easy and rob as much power as it adds in some cases.
Ya its supercharged with a 2.2 peaks at 8psi

I guarentee I picked up son hp/torque in the mid range. Its nice to not have to downshift at freeway speeds because there is no more audiable knock..

Yeah, that sounds reasonable. I noticed big gains with my setup but then I was running a 2.0 pulley and 14gph of pure meth.

The more extreme the setup, the more extreme the gains.

I bet you still gained 10-20hp but honestly on these trucks 20hp doesn't feel like much while lugging 4500lb around.

Having an issue with sealing the bottom of the washer fluid tank. I used some Permatex that was supposed to resist fuels and alcohol, but it wound up leaking like a sieve. I googled, and it seems like alky injection people recommend some stuff called E9000 that apparently Walmart sells. I'll pick some up and try it out.

Haven't touched any of the electrical wiring for the injection pump.

How did you tap the tank? I simply drilled and tapped a 1/8 NPT thread and used some teflon tape and it has held perfectly on mine.

Pretty much the same. I drilled a hole a little smaller than the fitting, coated fitting with sealant, and threaded it into the hole.

I tapped a hole and used Teflon and mine leaked too. I used "Seal All" from the local parts store and that stuff works excellent.

If you don't tap it then it is likely that the threads are far from perfect and could lead to leaking. Small step in some ways but important.

My first try would be more teflon.

The metal threads going into the plastic tank tapped the threads for me. Although, I did not use teflon tape, I just went straight to the sealant, so that may be my problem.

Right, I have done that before as well and while it will hold the fitting in place it won't seal as well as if it had been tapped with a thread tap. Found this in the past.

Even though it hardly does anything with plastic I have found drilling the hole a few sizes too small and tapping it to the smallest size the the fitting will thread into works the best for plastic.

Either way some sealant should fix it up, the Toyota FIPG stuff is the best I have come across.

Used Teflon tape this time, but also sealed it up with the stuff called E6000. Kinda weird that it's in the arts & crafts section at Walmart. I wonder what its intended purpose is?

Anyways, filled up the tank with -25 degree washer fluid and it's not leaking. I have the plastic line dead ending above the tank so that my washer fluid doesn't drain out. I'm tempted to try this water/methanol injection out while I'm still NA.

Get a small nozzle and do it. Get those valves and pistons nice and clean before putting the hurt to it.

Indeed, won't hurt anything and will steam clean the engine over time. For NA uses I would say a sub 4gph nozzle will do.

I remember reading something about somebody using windshield washer fluid with deicer in it. That's not a good idea.

Talking about the tap into the tank? I just drill the hole and then use an actual tap to get the threads, seals and works fine for me so far. I have heard of some people having issues if they try to tap it with the fitting though but nothing teflon tape won't fix.
