Well I'm putting the 3vze back together now that it's back from the machine shop.

On the timing belt idler (tensioner) there is a bolt that holds it onto the block.

Question - Isn't there suppose to be a washer on there somewhere. I think I misplaced it. Does it go between the idler and the block, or the bolt and the idler.

 

As I remember, I don't think so. It's been over a year since I replaced mine and I'm pretty sure there isn't one.

 

Just took mine off this weekend, and there is definitely a washer on the bolt, between the bolt head and the tensioner.
