Tail pipe turbo's

Hi every one. I was bored at work the other day and I started surfing the Great Big Web and stumbled onto this turbo site. They have developed a way of mounting a turbo after the cat by replacing the muffler. It sounds dought full until you check out their site.Any one thinking of running a TRD super charger should check this out first. The site is www.ststurbo.com

Try a search next time, this has been covered extensively. The general consensus is that the turbo is mounted in a very poor location for us off-roaders.

i wouldn't think it'd make too good of a gain. there's less pressure the farther down the tailpipe you go

Great kit for the 96-2004 tacoma. A little pricey at $3600 for a base system and is located in a bad area for any offroading ,especially deep water .Power gains are awesome taking less boost to make more power due to lower ambient temperatures .I would have to say that if you have a lowered tacoma its a great idea but a definite NO NO for lifted vehicles used for offroading.

I would also say that for the same amount of money and equal or better performance The TRD S/C with the URD injectors and aquamist system would be a much better system especially for offroading .

NOt just a bad location for offroading - its just a bad location. I drove 17 miles to work today in the pouring rain. Nice big open air filter mounted under my truck? - how stunningly stuipid would that be?! Bad enough just to have a hot turbo and pipes where it can get splashed by cold water - but the air filter? Cold Air Intakes are bad enough when they're under the hood.

hot turbo+cold water or snow= possible cracked turbo

I dont think they'll cover it under warranty for if there IS a warranty.
