Question Tacoma sway bar question...

Hi folks,
Looking to dial out some of my Tacoma's understeer and improving stabilty a bit when loaded down with a couple of motorcycles. So I'd like to install a rear sway bar if such a thing exists. The truck is a 2004 PreRunner Double Cab with the TRD package. Addco's site doesn't mention anything for the Tacoma after '99. Anyone out there done this mod?

I could be mistaken, but I thought the TRD package included a rear anti-sway bar?

Anyway, here's a bump!

Thanks for the bump! Nope, there's no rear bar on the TRD package and if there were, I'd be here looking for a thicker replacement!

Managed to find a few threads last night, though, and it seems that the only option out there is Hellwig. So now it's just a matter of shopping & choosing a place to order-one-up from.

I am planning on doing this mod soon. Addco sway bars in the front, and hellwig in the rear. Tell me how it works out for you. Thest best price Ive seen around is about 180for the rear hellwig.

Arch, you should PM NAGS from this forum. I know he and some others have done the mod on the more recent models. Maybe he can help you out.

Thanks, fellas! Yea, humanoid, I saw some of Nags' posts on the topic after searching around. Went ahead and ordered the part from Suspension Concepts after confirming the part number (7667) with a phone call to Hellwig. Here's the link to the part on Suspension Concepts' website. Looking forward to receiving it!

I saw you already ordered your swaybar so I guess this is more FYI. I had the same problems loaded down with 2 motorcycles and camping gear and I solved the problem with RS9000's. Just crank up the setting and it handles waay better.
