I wouldnt pay what the Micro DE's cost. The Hella 500s are great esp. if you change the bulbs out. You should be able to get those on ebay for like 68 bucks. For the price you cant beat the 500s.

Yeah, they have a great price on them on ebay along with the westin safari bar, they running it for $120 with the kit which isnt bad. I saw the post by cruizin01 earlier and the safari bar on his tacoma looks awesome. Im gettinf ready to mount my black nerf bars and i think the black front bar with fogs might be a nice addition. I can tell already my wifes gettin ready to kick my ass

holy smokes man (heh, no pun intended). just clarifying before i gave wrong info. it just seems to me that you are going way around your butt to get to your thumb by covering your headlights..then wanting more light..i dunno..but, i suggest the hella 500s. got mine for about 65 bones at the local autoplace and are a snap to wire up. i did not mean to rub you the wrong way...well, atleast not this time

Sorry dude, I mistook the comment as sarcasm, when you guys say swapping the bulb on the 500's, what are we swapping them to. I like the headlight covers and always have you just cant see crappola at night, but if i keep going this route and finding goodies the blackouts might end up on ebay.

Gotcha,

I guess the next question would be since it's almost a double in power are there any wiring problems potentially. Just asking because I had the 110W halogens in my ranger's headlights and burnt up my wiring harness, but if the hella wires will handle it then thats cool.

Yeah,

Plus I've also been considering clear corners so the covers my being going the way of the dodo, if so the 55w's would most likely be enough.
