Taco pic

Hey guys. It's been a while, finally got a pic of my Taco. Not gonna go crazy on it like my Runner, it's our work truck and we'll be putting a ton of mileage on it. My Runner will stay in the garage and let the years catch up to the mileage I put on. Just got a set of Sequoia rims so I figured it's a good time for a pic. They have tha slanted spoke look similar to the Runner rims I have. Added the red/clear tails and chrome mirrors to match the Runner...

You just HAD to get the same color and similar wheels to your 4Runner didn't ya?!

Looks too nice to be a work truck...unless workin' means pimpin'! j/k it looks great and a fine twin to your 4Runner!

Thanks guys. My Runner has over 120k since we used it for our mobile touch up biz as well as family hauler. The Taco will take over the business side now, the Snug Lid also allows me to leave all my paint gear and detail supplies in the back instead of taking it out of the Runner every night, paint and chemical fumes ya know...it is really nice having 2 Toys.

congrats, man. love what youve done.

i know ive asked this before, but how much were your chrome door handles? are they just covers, or did you have to replace the whole unit?

Thanks. Hey Lee, those chrome handles on my Runner were ordered from the dealer as a part of the '02 chrome package. They were about 85 bucks each. Installing the fronts were easy, the rears were a PITA. I was happy the Taco had the chrome handles already. Here's both, crappy pic and started to rain, no pic of me...I had to take the pic, but I had a blue shirt on...

Nice looking rigs you got there. I used to be stationed In Pearl form 95-98. Damn, I miss Hawaii since I have to deal with hurricanes here in Florida.

thanks, brian. i knew they were part of the 02 package, what i didnt know was that it was the whole handle and not just a cover of some kind.

ive searched ebaymotors like 4 or 5 times per week for the last 6 months and havent seen any up there for a 3rd gen so far.

Talking

Thanks. Yeah George, we get whacked too, but not as much as you guys, hope you're doing OK. hehe, I'll try Bob, been too busy on my guitar and paint forums as well as putting some time to play them. But I'll drop by more often.
I really doubt you'll find 'em on Ebay Lee...being they were a specialty option for only one year, I don't think anyone will part 'em out unless that Runner was totaled? The plastic surround of the handle does come in a few factory painted colors, they did'nt have the Horizon Blue, so I got gloss black. Anywho, thanks again for all the comments...aloha
