t bar upgrades too stiff?
my '94 xtrcab 4x is pretty stock. i run 31's, have a lumber-rack, campershell, and nerfbars. i'm (under)powered by my faithful 22re!
would anyone recommend a torsion bar upgrade? offroad-bumpiness i don't mind, but on the road i prefer smooth ride and square handling.
or should i leave the t-bars stock and just upgrade my stock shocks? and if shocks, should it be bilsteins, edelbrock, ...?
if anyone can recommend any well rounded combination of the above, i'm all ears for your experienced wisdom!
p.s. i'm game for any liftage up to 2inches as long as front and rear is level, and smooth ride/square handling is retained or improve above stock.
big grazies in advance!

t-Bars/shocks
I've heard that without extra weight up front (winch and winch bumper) that the 25mm SAW torsion bars are a bit harsh. I've got Bilsteins all around and love them - had em on for a good 5-6 years. If you have stock shocks still, I'd recommend switching all 4 for the full benefit. I hear good things about the Edelbrock IAS's also (might try these on my 2000 JGC.

I agree with the posts that the only time to upgrade the stock torsion bars is if you add a bunch of weight to the front end.
I have Skyjacker Nitro shocks. When I spoke with Skyjacker they explained that their shocks are generally softer than average as they specialize in softride suspensions so the match the shocks to the springs.
I highly recommend these if you want a high quality shock with a little softer ride.
AND you can get them at all the large shops like 4WP for about $40 each, cheaper than the bilstiens.
